Experience

In high school I attended Lewis and Clark Career Center and graduated with a 2 year Building Trades degree in 1988.

At that same time I spent 3 summers painting interior and exteriors for my parent's landlord.

My next experience was after I graduated from Truman State University and couldn't get a job in my degree, fine arts (big surprise!).  I was in Portland Oregon and worked for a painting company for a couple of years. I mostly did interior and exterior painting.

In 1997 I moved back to St. Louis and worked with a remodeling company. I started with painting interiors and exteriors, and moved on to repairing plaster, I also hung and taped drywall.

In 2001 I quit that job and went back to college to work on an elementary education certification part time.  On the side I worked for friends, and friends of friends' painting and repairing all kinds of damaged walls.

In 2004-05 my wife and I bought a house and remodeled it. Every piece of trim, wall and ceiling was repainted. We completely remodeled the kitchen, the bathroom, the basement and added a bathroom as well. After we fixed it up, we sold it and moved to Thailand to teach English.  We left August 2005 and returned April 2006.

In April of 2006 I opened my business, The Wall Fixer, and have been working in Saint Louis county and city since.
